Richmond Montessori School complements its academic offerings with a convenient, well-rounded schedule of after-school programs. In fact, we believe we have one of the most comprehensive after-school programs in the city. Every afternoon, students and their families can choose from a balanced selection of age-appropriate clubs, camps, workshops, classes and projects.
The full spectrum of options includes arts and culture, athletics, dance, foreign language and other programs led by RMS faculty or locally known and well-respected professionals from the various disciplines. These activities generally take place once a week immediately after the academic day on the RMS campus and last from one to two hours, depending on the program.
Children from 3-5 can enjoy gymnastics, art, play violin, ballet and even basketball. Elementary aged children can participate in activities such as sign language, string instruments, sports, drama or Latin dancing, while our 6th-8th graders may join the yearbook staff, play basketball or soccer, make videos, sing in the choir or be part of our Lego League.
