Montessori Enrichment is offered as a service to working parents whose circumstances require care for their children beyond the child’s school hours. In its approach and response to the child and its observation of rules and expectations, it is an extension of the classroom.
Our staff is highly qualified and professional. Some are Montessori trained while others bring different educational experiences. Each staff member carries out the Montessori philosophy of respect for the child while helping all children become independent learners. The Montessori Enrichment staff also works closely with the Montessori classroom teachers to ensure consistency throughout the child’s day.In its application, it is responsive to the varying tempo of the afternoon, and thus offers opportunities for learning through activities such as:
- practical life
- arts and crafts
- outdoor play
- motor skill development
- creative/dramatic play
- construction
- games
- community service
Contracted Schedule Options:
Early Arrival
(7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.)
Available to all ages during the school year
Also available to ages 3-9 during Summer Program
Nap/Rest
(12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
Toddler and Primary I Students (ages 2 - 4)
Length of Nap: 1 ½ hours
Length of Rest: ½ hour
Sleeping bag needed, mats provided
Extended Day
(3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Available to all ages
Nutritious snack provided by Montessori Enrichment during this time
Holiday Package
Montessori Enrichment is open on certain days that school is closed during the year
