Parents' Association (RMPA)

The Richmond Montessori Parents’ Association (RMPA) is a volunteer organization comprised of parents and a staff liaison. The RMPA sponsors several events throughout the school year, including:

  • the New Family Ice Cream Social, held each summer to kick off the new school year;
  • the Harvest Festival each autumn;
  • the RMS Auction in the spring; and
  • Coffee and Conversations at various times throughout the school year.

Involvement through the RMPA is a great opportunity for parents to build community through volunteering for school events.

The Annual Spring Auction is the RMPA's primary fundraiser. This fun event showcases handmade masterpieces created by our students in their classrooms. In addition to the classroom projects, thanks to the generous contributions of parents, friends and corporate sponsors, the RMPA raises money by auctioning everything from spa packages to vacation retreats.

RMPA's raised funds are donated annually to the school for program enrichments and enhancements, facility improvements, teacher and staff appreciation, and endowment funding. Thanks to recent successful fundraising efforts, the school has a brand new gym floor and a wonderful Montessori and parent resources section in the Media Resource Center.
