Ways to Be Involved | |

Parents are the greatest influence in a child’s life and are our partners at Richmond Montessori School. RMS offers regular forums for information, discussions and “hands-on” experience to further parental knowledge and strengthen the bond between the school and our families. Parents are encouraged to work cooperatively with faculty and staff, observe, use the parent library, read school communications and to participate in parent education and activities. As part of the RMS experience, parents are also required to volunteer twenty-five hours per family annually. Any activity that benefits the school, from attending parent education events to preparing class snack counts towards the required volunteer hours. Volunteering at the school allows parents to meet other parents, expand professional connections and personal friendships. Volunteering lets parents really know RMS: who the staff and volunteer leaders are, why the school does what it does and how the vision is carried out. Richmond Montessori School is fortunate in that parents take initiative in volunteering for the school, in the classroom and for RMPA activities. Due to parental support, we are able to offer many activities that benefit the children. To learn more on ways to become involved, contact your child’s teacher, RMPA leadership or the Advancement Office. We are glad to help match your talents and interests to an appropriate volunteer opportunity. Thank you in advance for your time and support! |
