Allyson started her journey at RMS as a parent of a toddler student. As parents, she and her husband choose RMS for their young children, because they believe the Montessori environment helps their children grow in their confidence and capabilities as life-long learners. She has since worked in the summer camps and spent time as a substitute teacher in many of the classrooms before beginning her current position. Her strengths in empathy and interpersonal relationships equip her to lovingly serve the staff and students at RMS. Before RMS, Allyson grew up in a military family stationed in France. She graduated from American University in Washington D.C. with a degree in French Studies and Education Studies. Her experience as an international student led her to serve the international student community at VCU for six years with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries. During that time she became a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God, USA. Allyson loves to spend time with her family and two hound dogs, Lyza and Sally.
