Morina has lived in Richmond for the past 12 years and comes from a multicultural background, including French and Nigerian heritage. She spent part of her childhood living in the Philippines and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Social Welfare. After college, she worked with children in multiple capacities, including assistant teaching, tutoring in Richmond Public Schools, and working as a family consultant for a foster care organization. Morina earned her Montessori diploma in Early Childhood from the Washington Montessori Institute in Maryland. She attended a Montessori school as a young child and has carried the Montessori values into her adult life. She says "having the opportunity to guide your children feels like a full circle moment for me."
