Lavell joined RMS in 1999 as an assistant toddler teacher and after school employee. She has worked in the early childhood extended care program and has been an active part of RMS summer camps. Prior to RMS, she worked at the Montessori School of Charlottesville for 4 years, and for years at Montessori at the Arboretum, where her love grew for the Montessori philosophy and method of education. She completed her infant and toddler training at the Center for Montessori Education in New York and holds a certification.
