Karen joined RMS after several years working in other Richmond independent schools, most recently at the Steward School. Karen’s path in education has been dynamic and has spanned over twenty years across several states. This time frame included taking some time to raise her family.Karen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master’s in Secondary Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her interests include cycling, gardening, kayaking, reading, drawing, and spending time with family. Karen has two boys who are both currently in college; Garrett (JMU) and Hayden (Kenyon College).
