ME Teacher

What’s something you love seeing students get excited about?

I love watching the students in after school get excited about a new project we introduce, or when I observe them really lock into imaginative play together or focus intently on a sport. It brings me back to when I had similar experiences as a kid and it reminds me to find that feeling within myself again

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or day off?

On the weekends I love to read, run, draw, bike, and cook dinner with my friends

What’s a hobby or interest that people might be surprised to learn you have?

I make comic books and I speak French!

Have you ever lived somewhere other than Richmond? What did you love about it?

I love living different places! I'm originally from Durham, North Carolina, and I moved to Richmond for college. I've also lived in Brooklyn, New York, and a small town in northern France called Saint Quentin. Living in new places gives me a lot of perspective on where I'm from and the world around me, and I love that about it. Plus it's always an adventure when you live somewhere new, and that never gets old to me
