What’s something about RMS that you think makes it special?

My colleagues are some of the most highly qualified (arguably over-qualified) professionals I have ever encountered. There's something really special about incredibly bright and passionate educators who are enduringly committed to the often overlooked work of guiding children to grow into confident and compassionate human beings. Great RMS teachers are not just passing through, they make a home here, where their excellence has space to expand over time and inspire in all directions

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?

Went canoe packing in the Boundary Waters with four other women and zero backpacking or canoeing experience. It was physically intense and stunningly beautiful. The wildlife in particular was a highlight!

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or day off?

Running (literally) around Richmond. Distance running has been my favorite way to fall in love with my little corner of the planet -- slow and steady, pounding the pavement, mile after mile, weaving through the most magical tucked away treasures of my town, seeing my city at the pace of my feet. There's nothing like it!

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

To walk the Camino de Santiago
