What first brought you to RMS?

I was drawn to RMS after learning about the benefits of a Montessori environment and became curious to explore schools in my area that aligned with that philosophy. Working at RMS has significantly shaped my perspective on education. I've come to deeply value the role of independence in building students' confidence, and I’ve seen firsthand how learning to identify and express emotions is just as important as academic success. While I didn't have a Montessori experience growing up, I now see the powerful impact it has on students’ growth and development

What’s your favorite RMS tradition, event, or community moment?

Winterfest!! I absolutely love how students and adults can learn more about different background

What’s something you love seeing students get excited about?

One of my favorite parts of working in our school community is seeing that moment when a lesson clicks and a child is so proud that they immediately want to share it. There’s nothing better than hearing them say, 'Guess what I learned today!' and offer a lesson to a classmate or adult. Beyond academics, I love witnessing their social emotional growth, like when a child notices a classmate in need and instinctively steps in to offer support
