The Falcon Club is a yearlong, afternoon program open to second-year, half-day primary students. The Falcon Club will offer an extension to the primary cultural curriculum and extend the day through 3:10 p.m.
The cultural curriculum allows students to see the interconnectedness of the classroom materials to the world beyond the classroom. It offers indirect preparation for the cosmic curriculum of the elementary years that lays the foundation for global education, as it facilitates the linking of knowledge and discovery together with the big wide world. In Montessori education, social studies, biology and the earth sciences, form the cosmic context that gives the child a sense of himself in the universe and in history.
The program curriculum includes:
Social studies, history
Study of the continents, geography
Life sciences and science experiments
Observing the world around us
Cooking and baking international foods
Grace and courtesy
Storytelling and art
