Jaime Terranova, known to students as “Miss Jaime,” serves as a Lead Teacher in the Primary program at Richmond Montessori School. Originally from Syracuse, NY, she later moved with her family to Virginia Beach. Jaime earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from James Madison University and initially planned to teach in public schools. Instead, her career led her abroad to Northeast China, where she taught college English at a Teachers’ University. Upon returning to the U.S., she worked in a church with a Montessori school, where she was introduced to the Montessori Method and quickly inspired to pursue training. Now in her ninth year as a Lead Primary Teacher, Jaime is passionate about Montessori education and grateful to be part of the RMS community. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys life with her English Lab, George—together they love neighborhood walks, beach outings, and the occasional nap.
