Margarita Gutierrez serves as an assistant teacher in the classroom. Originally from Cali, Colombia, where Spanish is her native language, she moved to New York City at age 16 and went on to earn her Associate Degree in Multimedia. Margarita has long enjoyed working with children, both as an Assistant Leader at her church and as a caregiver for young relatives. This year marks her fourth year working with toddlers at RMS and her third year in the classroom team. Over the summer, she began pursuing her AMS Infant and Toddler credentials and looks forward to applying her growing knowledge of Montessori philosophy in the classroom.
