Debra Hess has been working in Montessori education since 2011 as a Lead Primary Teacher in Maryland, Tennessee, Georgia, and Virginia. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development and Family Studies from West Virginia University in 2012 and received her AMS Early Childhood credential the same year from Montgomery Montessori Institute. With more than 14 years of teaching experience and a deep passion for the Montessori philosophy, Debra is a dedicated educator and a valued member of the RMS community.
Outside the classroom, Debra enjoys spending time with her husband, their two boys, and their Portuguese Water Dog, Penny. She loves being outdoors, whether gardening, shelling along the shore, or traveling to new places. Born in Korea and raised in the United States, Debra brings a joy for life to her work and family. In her spare time, she also enjoys the adventure of scuba diving!
