Lynnelle Ediger joined the faculty as a music teacher in 2003. In 2005 she started the RMS Honors Choir and RMS Harp Ensemble. Students from those ensembles have performed in venues such as the White House, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and have toured Montreal, Vermont, Puerto Rico, Ireland and Austria. As the founder of nationally recognized arts organizations including the Academy of Music, the American Youth Harp Ensemble and the Virginia Choristers, she has been recognized by the Kennedy Center by the American Alliance for Performing Arts Educators as “Outstanding Arts Educator of the Year,” the Governor’s Citation for Excellence in the Arts and with the Distinguished Alumni Award from Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
