Volunteer Opportunities

Be a Part of RMS

In addition to the many committees and volunteer opportunities available through the Richmond Montessori Parents’ Association, RMS also welcomes the gifts of time and talent from parents and friends of our school.

Ways to volunteer

RMS Annual Fund
Help RMS achieve its goal of 100% community participation in the Annual Fund by serving as an advancement volunteer. As a volunteer, you may be responsible for:
• creating your own gift to the RMS Annual Fund to set an example of giving
• making phone calls and writing follow-up notes to encourage others to give
• sending out mailings to keep everyone informed
• writing thank you notes to donors
• volunteering at RMS fundraising events

To sign up or learn more, contact Jill Williams, Director of Advancement, at jwilliams@richmont.org.

Carousel Club
Do you have a specialty or hobby you would like to share? Schedule a visit or two with the Carousel Club on Wednesdays after school. To sign up or learn more, contact Darlene Marschak at dmarschak@richmont.org

Richmond Montessori Parents’ Association
Getting involved in one or more events each year is a great way to get to know other parents, share your special talents, and support the students and faculty. We encourage you to join a committee, help out at an event or coordinate a project and discover the many rewarding ways your contributions add to the life of the school. We encourage all parents to contribute by getting involved in at least one event each year. To sign up or learn more, email Maryangela Rubin, RMPA President, at rmsrmpa@gmail.com.

Host a social at your home for the parents in your child’s class to build community and advance our mission. Contact Maureen Williams, Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management, at mwilliams@richmont.org.

Share your passion and enthusiasm for RMS by working with the Admissions Office in a variety of ways. Contact Maureen Williams, Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management, at mwilliams@richmont.org.

Volunteer in your child’s class as a classroom reader or tend the gardens outside your child’s classroom. Email your child’s teacher for details on how you can help.

If you have a talent, skill, or expertise you’d like to share with Admissions, Advancement, Marketing/Communications, Finance, or Montessori Enrichment, contact Lane Burgess at lburgess@richmont.org.
